For manually estimated expenses select the service type of "New Parent Service"
Key in the the service name
Click on "Create"

Toggle on "Active & Available"
Toggle on "Display on Public Site" (if you are using this feature and wish for it to be available)
Key in the hourly rate at $1
Add the short description
This will save automatically

Create another location service but select "New Child Service"
Then select the "parent" service that you created above
Add the service name
Click on "create"

Toggle on "Track Via Expenses"
Toggle on "Fixed Price Service"
Add the cost
Toggle on "Taxable" IF this is a taxable item
Toggle on "Allow Manual Calculation"
Toggle on "Include by Default" if you wish to have this on each estimate


Add the short description

If you wish to also have a manual service that is hourly based, create another child service

In the "cost each" field list the cost and in the "min quantity" field list the minimum amount you will bill
Toggle on "allow manual calculation"
Decide if you want "include by default" to be on
Add your "short description"


For a service that is fixed
Create the service type

Toggle off "track via hours"
Toggle on "track via expenses"
Toggle on "fixed price service"
Add the "cost each" and " min quantity"
Toggle on "allow manual calculation
Toggle on "include by default" (if desired)
Add the "short description"


Now, create your estimate! Follow the module on creating estimates for more details.
Name your estimate and click on "create"

Uncheck the services since everything is manually estimated.
Check "manual expense amounts"
Click on the arrow to expand

Enter in the quantity of the manual expenses
Note that the movers category is the number of hours the tv mounting and dumpsters in this scenario or number of items



Review the estimate for hte details
