Action types are used on CRM contact records. This means they will be used on clients, leads, referrals, and vendors.
Where the Action Type is Used
Click on "show / hide columns" and then check "Action Date".


To see what action dates are currently available, click on a contact.

Then click on key dates
Select an action date
Then choose the type

Adjusting and Adding Action Types
Select "Owner Settings"
Then, "System Settings"


Pick "Action Date Types" from the drop down
Toggle "Show Inactive" on to see action types that have been turned off
To edit an existing action type click 

To add an Action Date Type click on 

Update or add the name
Click Save or Create
The Action Date Type will then show in the list
